Massachusetts Future Leaders Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Massachusetts Amateur Sports Foundation
The Future Leaders Scholarship is a program designed to recognize and support the upcoming leaders of tomorrow. Bay State Games takes pride in granting these scholarships, each worth at least $1,000, to six deserving student-athletes participating in Bay State Games. Over the past three decades, nearly $400,000 has been awarded to students seeking to further their education.
Previous beneficiaries of the Future Leaders Scholarship have proceeded to study at prestigious institutions both within New England and nationwide, including Harvard University, Brown University, UMass Amherst, Vanderbilt University, and UConn. A comprehensive list of Future Leaders Scholarship recipients can be found online.
The Massachusetts Amateur Sports Foundation is the body responsible for awarding these scholarships. The foundation firmly believes that the leaders of the future are shaped during their high school years, with a strong foundation in academics, athletics, community service, and extracurricular activities. Success in these areas instills a sense of responsibility, self-worth, and an understanding of the importance of goal setting and achievement. These lessons, when well learned, contribute to the development of effective leaders in various sectors including business, education, and community. The Bay State Games is committed to supporting these future leaders through the Future Leaders Scholarship program.
