Women's Ministries Scholarship Program
Scholarship Sponsored by General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists
The Women's Ministries Department of the General Conference (GC WM) has initiated a scholarship program to financially assist women dedicated to the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, who otherwise would not be able to afford a Christian education. The scholarship awards are determined based on academic performance, financial necessity, and community involvement. The specific award amounts fluctuate annually, depending on the available funds. Scholarships can only be acquired through your home divisions.
Applications must be submitted to your division Women's Ministries directors by May 31 and October 31.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility extends to any woman planning to attend a Seventh-day Adventist college in her residing division. Priority will be given to those in their final two years of college-level study. Scholarships are granted based on financial need, capability, and the applicant's determination for self-improvement. The applicant must be dedicated to serving the Lord in the direction He guides and committed to the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Application Process
Applicants are required to complete the application form, provide a photograph, a transcript of their most recent academic year, and three recommendations from their pastor, church leaders, or teachers.
Applications should initially be submitted to your conference or mission WM director, who will forward it to the union WM director, then the division WM director, and finally to the GC WM director. If you do not have a conference WM director, send the application to your union WM director. If there is no conference or union WM director, send it directly to your division WM director.
A scholarship committee appointed by each division WM director will screen the applicants. The division WM director will then forward the committee's recommendations to the GC WM Scholarship Committee.
