Scott's journey into the T-shirt industry began during his high school years. His brother introduced him to the art of creating tie-dye shirts, and they would jointly sell their products at Grateful Dead concerts in Las Vegas and California. Fast forward 24 years, JonesTshirts.com has emerged as a top wholesale supplier of blank T-shirts and other apparel. Scott's dedication to his T-shirt passion has evolved into a full-time career. Eligibility Criteria
This scholarship is open to any student who will be enrolled in a college or University at the time of the next deadline (refer to dates below). Please note, this scholarship is only available to students attending school within the 50 U.S. states.
Important Dates
This scholarship is awarded twice a year on a recurring basis. The following dates apply every year:
- Winter/January Semester: January 10
- Fall/September Semester: September 10
Ensure you adhere strictly to the essay and submission guidelines as detailed below to be considered for the scholarship. (Non-compliant essays will be disqualified)
Essay Guidelines

- The essay should be between 1000 and 3000 words.
- At the beginning of your essay, include your full name, contact number, email address, and the name of your educational institution.
- Detail at least 3 steps you intend to take in the upcoming year to set you on the path to a career you love. As you contemplate these steps, think about your passions that could be transformed into a career. What business ideas do you have that are based on your skills and interests? We are interested in unique, well-articulated ideas. Convince us. Excite us. Make your essay memorable!
- Conduct an interview with a professional in your chosen field who has a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Include at least 3 of the following questions in your interview and incorporate the questions and responses into your essay.
- What initially motivated you to enter your current industry?
- What key piece of advice would you give to someone like me who is contemplating a career in your field?
- What was the most significant challenge you faced when you were starting in this field and how did you overcome it?
- Which college courses have had a lasting impact on your career?
- What aspects of your career were you unaware of or did not consider when you were starting out?
- What activities should I be engaging in outside of school to prepare for a career in this field?
