Lincoln Lane Scholarships

The Lincoln-Lane Foundation is open to receiving applications from high school and college students residing in the Tidewater region of Virginia, provided they meet the criteria outlined below:
- A minimum GPA of 3.0
- Demonstrated financial need
- Enrollment or application to a 4-year college or university within the United States
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency. A Green Card copy is mandatory.

For your online application, the following documents are necessary:
- A recent photograph, taken within the past year
- An essay, as specified in the application
- A copy of the previous year's 1040 federal tax return for your parent(s), including any schedules filed, and your own tax return if applicable.
- The FAFSA Submission Summary along with your SAI, as soon as it becomes available. (FAFSA begins accepting submissions on December 1.)
Additionally, your teachers and/or guidance counselor must provide the following:
- An official transcript, including rank and SAT/ACT scores if relevant
- Two recommendation letters from individuals familiar with your academic performance.
PROCESS
Students who meet our criteria and demonstrate financial need may be invited to our offices for an interview with our Board of Directors. Interviews are conducted between January and March.
Interview appointments will not be scheduled until all necessary documents have been received and evaluated. Appointments will be arranged via email.
By mid-April, students will be informed of the Board of Directors' decision. Please note that the scholarship award is provisional at this stage and may be adjusted based on other scholarship aid received and the student's financial need.
