Illinois First Generation Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Godoy Law Office
The legal team at Godoy Law Office Immigration Lawyers is deeply committed to helping immigrant and refugee families realize their American Dream. We recognize the intricacies of immigration laws and procedures, and we understand how daunting the process can be for those unfamiliar with U.S. legislation.
First-generation immigrants and their offspring are currently grappling with some of the most stringent immigration standards in recent times. The struggle to establish themselves and provide for their families is a common challenge among immigrants. This is why we are launching The 2025 First Generation Scholarship, aimed at supporting first-generation immigrants or their children. Our goal is to bolster the educational pursuits of first-generation U.S. college students and celebrate their unique experiences by granting them $1,000 to further their studies.
We invite you to share your journey as a first-generation citizen in a 700-1000-word essay. Narrate your personal immigration success story as a first-generation immigrant or as a child of one. Discuss the challenges you faced and the valuable lessons you learned from your first-generation immigrant experience.
