Crest Oral-B Scholarships for Predoctoral Dental Students

The Procter & Gamble Company, in collaboration with the American Dental Education Association (ADEA), is pleased to announce the ADEA/Crest Oral-B Scholarships for Predoctoral Dental Students with a keen interest in academic careers. The scholarships are designed to assist dental students who are firmly committed to becoming dental educators.
Program Details
Every year, the ADEA/Crest Oral-B Scholarship for Predoctoral Dental Students Pursuing Academic Careers is awarded to two dental students. Each scholarship is valued at $5,500.
Criteria for Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a full-time student in an accredited predoctoral dental program in the United States or Canada, having completed at least one year of the program.
- Exhibit a keen interest in advanced education.
- Express a strong commitment to an academic career in dental education.
- Hold an ADEA Individual Membership.
Application Procedure
Applicants must submit the following items by Sept. 15, 2025, using the ADEA online application process.
- A personal statement that outlines experiences, influences, and decision-making processes that demonstrate a strong commitment to becoming a dental educator.
- Two individual nomination and evaluation letters from faculty members that discuss the applicant’s career objectives.
- A recommendation letter from the student’s dean or a person of equivalent academic rank.
- Academic transcripts obtained from the applicant’s school registrar to verify academic standing.
- Ensure your ADEA profile is updated as your scholarship application will use the information in your profile. Update your profile at adea.org/myadea.
- All ADEA program participants or scholarship recipients must agree to adhere to the ADEA Code of Conduct for Meetings, Conferences, Events, and Virtual Communities, which can be found on the ADEA website.
De-identified applicant data will be used to enhance ADEA scholarships and may be published. Identified information (e.g., biographies) of successful applicants will be published on the ADEA website, shared with your home institution, and may be used in ADEA promotional material.
