Applicants must meet all of the following:
- Be a high school senior, high school graduate, or GED recipient who intends to enroll — or be currently enrolled — full time in an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the upcoming academic year. Enrollment must begin no later than the fall term of the year the award is made.
- Hold a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
- Have a sponsor who is a member of the Military Benefit Association by November 1, 2025.
In addition, applicants must fall into one of these categories:

- Spouse member or dependent spouse of a Military Benefit Association member.
- National Guardsman or Reservist who is a Military Benefit Association member.
- Veteran who has separated from service as of the application deadline and is a Military Benefit Association member.
Awards
- Each selected student will receive a $3,000 scholarship. Up to 30 awards will be distributed.
- Awards are not renewable; however, eligible students may reapply in subsequent years.
- A recipient may receive the scholarship for a total of up to two years.
- Scholarships are for undergraduate study only.
Selection of Recipients
Scholarship America selects recipients based on:
- Academic achievement
- Demonstrated leadership and involvement in school and community activities
- Work experience
- A written statement outlining educational and career goals
- Unusual personal or family circumstances
- One online recommendation
Financial need is not a factor in selection. Military Benefit Association officers or members do not participate in recipient selection. Scholarship America’s decision is final for all applicants.
Application Requirements
You must upload the following as part of your application:
