The recipients of Epic's 2025 aviation scholarships will be unveiled on Monday, November 10, 2025. These scholarships are designed for eligible high school students in the U.S., providing financial support for flight training and aircraft mechanic training at Epic campuses. In 2025, we will be granting 16 scholarships, amounting to $140,000, as part of our 10th annual aviation scholarship awards.
Aviation Scholarships for U.S. High School Students:
FOR PILOTS:
1 $20,000 Captain Judy Rice Pilot Scholarship for Flight Training (Can be utilized at any of our campuses)
9 $5,000 Pilot Scholarships for Flight Training (Available at all of our flight training campuses)
1- $5,000 King Air Nation Foundation Pilot Scholarship for Flight Training (Applicable at any campus)
FOR MECHANICS:
2 $20,000 Aircraft Mechanic Scholarships (One each at CVG Airport and New Smyrna Beach)
1 $10,000 King Air Nation Foundation Aircraft Mechanic Scholarship (Applicable at either campus)
2 $10,000 Aircraft Mechanic Scholarships (One each at CVG Airport and New Smyrna Beach)
Epic's aviation scholarship program has been expanding annually to support young individuals with a passion for aviation. These scholarships are open to U.S. high school students. In 2024, we granted 6 pilot scholarships and 2 aircraft mechanic scholarships to be utilized across our campuses.
Epic Flight Academy takes pride in attracting the best students. We encourage high school students from all over the United States to apply for these yearly scholarships. Over the past nine years, Epic has granted over $445,000 to 35 high school students through these awards.
Eligibility Criteria for High School Scholarships:
- Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents.
- Applicants must be currently enrolled as a junior or senior in a U.S. high school for the flight training scholarships.
- For the aircraft mechanic scholarship, applicants must be in their senior year of high school in the U.S.
- Applicants must be at least 16 years old on or before December 31, 2024 (flight training); or, must be 18 years old by the time of program completion (aircraft mechanic)
- All applicants must be able to commence training within 12 months of receiving the scholarship.
- The scholarship must be utilized within 24 months.
- If under 18 years of age, applicants must have the approval of a parent or guardian.
- Applicants must have reliable transportation to attend Epic Flight Academy or be willing to relocate for the duration of the training.
- For the flight training scholarship, applicants must be able to present a Third Class Medical.
Application Process for High School Scholarships

- SCHOLARSHIPS WILL BE PRESENTED ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2025
- We aim to provide applicants with the opportunity to submit quality applications and demonstrate their attitudes. We are keen to understand your perspectives on flying, goal-setting, and other qualities.
- Applicants should first familiarize themselves with the Scholarship Application requirements below. Then, they should complete all necessary steps, such as obtaining letters of recommendation. Finally, they should upload all required documents.
What should your application include?
Upload a PDF document detailing your Community Service Involvement & Extracurricular Activities, including Organization/Affiliation, Date and Duration, and Location (for pilots only)
Upload a PDF document with responses to the following Short Essay prompts:
Short Essay 1: What qualities would you seek in a scholarship applicant? (for pilots only)
Short Essay 2: What drives your interest in aviation training? (Include your goals.)
Upload 2 Letters of Recommendation: At least one must be from a high school teacher, counselor, coach, or other school official. Both Letters of Recommendation can be from teachers, counselors, coaches, or other school officials. Letters of Recommendation should not be from anyone related to you, including a guardian. They should be from adults who have supervised you. Please ensure that the Letters of Recommendation include the reference’s contact information.
Create a YouTube Video: In under two minutes, creatively articulate why you believe you are the best candidate for a scholarship. Upload the video to YouTube, and be ready to provide the link in the application. (for pilots only)
Upload an Aviation-Related Photo: Provide an aviation-related photo of yourself in jpg, jpeg, or png file format. If you are selected, we will feature your photo on our website and in other scholarship materials.
