Overview
This opportunity is intended for Hispanic/Latinx high school seniors in the NY/NJ/CT region who are preparing to begin full-time college studies in Fall 2026. Read all instructions carefully before submitting your application.
Eligibility (applicant must meet all of the following)
- Current high school senior
- Attending school in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut
- Identify as Hispanic/Latinx
- Cumulative GPA of at least 2.8 on a 4.0 scale
- At least 80 documented hours of community service
- Intend to enroll as a full-time college student for Fall 2026 (2026–2027 academic year)
Required Uploads (these documents must be attached to your application)
1. A copy of your most recent report card
2. Documentation proving 80 community service hours
3. An essay of 600–1,200 words (you may paste it in the form under ESSAY TOPIC)
4. FAFSA submission and Student Aid Report (SAR)
5. Official school transcripts
6. Enrollment verification from the college you will attend
7. Financial aid award letter from your chosen college
8. Three letters of recommendation
9. Employment Authorization Document (EAD) — required only if you are a DACA recipient
Additional Requirements by Status
US Citizens / Eligible Residents
- Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, or DACA recipient
- Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) while in high school
- Plan to enroll full-time at an accredited public or nonprofit four-year U.S. university for the 2026–2027 academic year
- Submit the FAFSA or any applicable state financial aid forms
Non-U.S. Citizens (eligible categories)
- U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder; Permanent Resident Card)
- Conditional permanent resident (I-551C)
- Other eligible non-citizen statuses with a valid I-94 showing one of the following: Refugee, Asylum Granted, Indefinite Parole, Humanitarian Parole, or Cuban-Haitian Entrant
