The Minnesota Association of Public Accountants (MAPA) is a collective of accounting professionals who offer financial and accounting services to individuals and small businesses. The association welcomes both certified and non-certified accountants to join its ranks. The primary objective of MAPA is to enhance the expertise of its members and provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and up-to-date information among professionals.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Undergraduate students in their sophomore, junior, senior, or fifth year, enrolled in an accredited 4-year college or university, majoring in accounting with the aim to pursue a career in public accounting, and maintaining a minimum grade point average of 2.5.
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens, Minnesota residents, and enrolled in a U.S.-accredited institution.

Deadline for Application: All applications must be submitted by November 15th. Refer to the “General Information” section for more details.

For your application to be considered, it must be:
- Accompanied by transcripts from all previously attended institutions. Transcripts can be included with the application or sent directly to MAPA by the issuing institution.
- Submitted with all required documents (transcripts, recommendation letter), in their original form, by the specified deadline.
Additional Information:
Ensure to answer all the questions in the application form to the best of your ability. If a question does not apply to you, please explain why. Incomplete applications may be disqualified.

- All applicants will be informed about the selection process in November.
Important: Application Submission Guidelines
- Applications, along with the supporting documents (recommendation letter and college transcripts), must be signed, dated, and submitted in their original form (no faxes) to MAPA by the deadline of November 15th.
- Ensure to securely attach the supporting documents to the back of the application to avoid misplacement.
- If the supporting documents are sent separately from the application, they must reach MAPA by the deadline.
- Applicants are responsible for ensuring that MAPA receives all supporting documents by the deadline.
- MAPA reserves the right to disqualify incomplete or unsigned applications, including those without the necessary supporting documents, without further communication with the applicant.
