As one of America's premier long-haul and interstate moving companies, Allied Van Lines is thrilled to announce a scholarship program for 2025. This program is specifically designed for students who are pursuing studies in logistics and related fields. Our goal is to foster growth in our industry by supporting the most promising students in the field of logistics and moving.
Scholarship Details:
- Three scholarships will be granted.
- Each scholarship recipient will receive an award of $1,000, making the total scholarship fund $3,000.
- The scholarship amount will be issued in the form of a check to the recipient's school and sent to the recipient's home address.
Submission Guidelines:
Applicants are required to submit a short essay, ranging from 400 to 800 words, explaining why they have chosen logistics/supply chain management as their major. The essay should have a personal touch, reflecting genuine experiences and feelings. There's no need for excessive formality. We're interested in understanding why you're passionate about a career in logistics!
Application Process:
- Fill out all necessary sections of our online application form.
- Ensure the following documents are attached to your application form:
- Your most recent academic transcripts.
- Proof of enrollment at your college.
- Your essay.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or permanent residents.
- Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll as full-time students at an accredited U.S. college/university, pursuing an undergraduate degree in Logistics or a related field.
- Only one entry is allowed per applicant.
- Allied Van Lines employees, professional associates, and agents (and their immediate family members) are not eligible to apply.
- Applicants must adhere to IRS rules to qualify for the tax-free benefits of the scholarship, which include the following:
- The scholarship does not exceed your expenses;
- The scholarship is not designated or earmarked for other purposes (like room and board), and does not stipulate that it cannot be used for qualified education expenses; and
- The scholarship does not represent payment for teaching, research, or other services required as a condition for receiving the scholarship.
- Applicants must be Degree Candidates, meaning they:
- Are attending a primary or secondary school, or are pursuing a degree at a college or university, or
- Are attending an educational institution that:
- Offers a program that is fully creditable towards a bachelor's or higher degree, or provides a training program to prepare students for gainful employment in a recognized occupation; and
- Is authorized under federal or state law to provide such a program and is accredited by a nationally recognized accreditation agency
- An eligible educational institution is one that primarily provides formal instruction, typically maintains a regular faculty and curriculum, and usually has a regularly enrolled student body at the location where it conducts its educational activities.
- Qualified education expenses, for the purposes of tax-free scholarships and fellowship grants, include:
- Tuition and fees required to enroll at or attend an eligible educational institution; and
- Course-related expenses, such as fees, books, supplies, and equipment that are required for the courses at the eligible educational institution. These items must be required of all students in your course of instruction.
- Qualified education expenses do not cover the cost of:
- Room and board, Travel, Research, Clerical help, or Equipment and other expenses that are not required for enrollment in or attendance at an eligible educational institution

- Recipients must adhere to IRS rules to qualify for the tax benefits of the scholarship
