Qualification Requirements
- Cuban Heritage
- Eligibility for a Mas Family Scholarship extends to students born in Cuba or those with direct Cuban lineage.
- Scholastic Achievement
- Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Leadership Qualities and Community Involvement
- Candidates should exhibit potential for leadership and active participation in community service endeavors.
- Endorsements
- Submission of three completed recommendation forms is mandatory for committee evaluation.
- Financial Necessity
- Although not a primary factor, financial need will be taken into account during the selection process.
- Academic Enrollment
- Applicants must be full-time students at an accredited college or university for the forthcoming academic year, pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.
What documents are required for application?
- Evidence of Cuban Heritage
- Acceptable documents include Birth Certificate, Parent/Grandparent Birth Certificate, a Citizenship Certificate, or other valid identification.
- Personal Statement (max 500 words)
- Detail your academic achievements, leadership roles, and community involvement. Describe how the Mas Family Scholarship will aid in realizing your educational and career goals.
- Curriculum Vitae
- Emphasize your involvement in student, professional, or community organizations, hobbies, academic honors, work experience, and proficiency in foreign languages.
- Educational Records
- Submit your academic transcript and test scores.
- Financial Aid Documentation
- Upload a copy of your submission summary and/or your CSS profile.
- References
- Provide contact details for three individuals who can vouch for your suitability for a Mas Family Scholarship.
- Essay Submission
