National Alumni Association Crimson Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by National Alumni Association
The Alumni Scholarship Program offers competitive scholarships that do not necessitate any prior connection with UA or the National Alumni Association. The selection of scholarships is based on the robustness of the "awards and experiences" segment of the admission application. Hence, for consideration for any scholarship administered by the Alumni Scholarship Program, students must gain admission to UA and fill out the Alabama Scholarship Award Manager (ASAM) scholarship application through the myBama.ua.edu portal by December 5.
Under no circumstances will a scholarship be awarded based on unlawful criteria such as race, gender, or national origin.
The Alumni Association's flagship scholarship, the CRIMSON SCHOLARSHIP, is a four-year scholarship that typically covers an amount equivalent to the cost of in-state or out-of-state tuition. In addition, it provides an extra $3,500 per annum, a $300 yearly book grant, and a one-time $2,000 Study Abroad/Research Stipend. This scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen who have a minimum ACT score of 32 or SAT score of 1420, a GPA of 3.8, preferably belong to the top 2% of their senior class, and demonstrate extensive leadership skills.
